This month, five young Kiwis (including myself) are attending the UNICEF Children’s Climate Forum in Copenhagen. Our trip isĀ being sponsored by Enviro-Challenge, an innovative Education for Sustainability programme.
In the lead up to the forum, we five delegates (nicknamed the ‘Climate Kiwis’) are faced with the task of preparing recommendations for world leaders on climate change.
As this is a challenge, we would like our fellow teens to help balance our viewpoint.
We have constructed an online transport survey to collect the voices of young New Zealanders on this key climate issue. The ‘You Choose’ survey gives youth the choice of three future visions, from maintaining our car dependent lifestyles to ditching our inefficient network in favour of an efficient transport system.
Our questionnaire has received over 180 responses to date, but we want more passionate young people to have a say in our future so that we can be representative ambassadors for New Zealand.
Take the survey yourself or flick it to a friend.
With thanks,
Abby
