On the sixth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me: 50 exercise books!
We’re counting down to Christmas with the 12 Days of UNICEF where UNICEF ambassadors and champions post daily blog entries about the difference UNICEF Inspired Gifts are making in the lives of many children around the world.
Every child has a right to an education. In Ghana, 22% of girls have not gone to primary school and 40% have not gone to junior school. It is estimated that there are 93 million children worldwide who do not have a chance to go to school.
Thousands of children there live and work on the street and the number is growing. But when I visited Ghana in 2005 and 2008, I had a look at UNICEF-supported projects in child protection, education and sanitation, and helped start ‘Bikes for Ghana’ which has since helped 6,000 girls from rural communities get to school. I feel positive about Ghana’s outlook and UNICEF’s role in making a real difference in children’s lives. I want to see more children having bigger dreams!

Something as simple as exercise books can help the world’s poorest children reach their potential. For $43, you can purchase 50 exercise books to help children reach their full potential in gaining an education.
This Christmas, join me in opening the door to a brighter future for children in poor communities.

Your lovely charity is really bringing brighter future for children.
I accompanied my New Zealand brother Mr Brett and ShareGlobeTrust staff to do some charity to some orphanages of China recently. From these journey, I could feel many in need children in China who are pining help from western charity like as from New Zealand.
Would you like do some charity in China too? Thanks!
