Have a blog? Want to do some good?
Then the kids in Sub-Sahara Africa need you!
At the moment, one child somewhere in the world dies of malaria every 30 seconds! It infects 350-500 million people each year, killing 1 million, mostly children in Sub-Sahara Africa, where malaria accounts for about one in five of all childhood deaths.
So here at UNICEF NZ, we’re wanting to put a stop to this preventable disease, and have come up with the UNDER COVER campaign, to get 140,000 kids under the cover of a life-saving net by year end.
But we need your help! We can only get these kids under cover if generous Kiwis like you spread the word and buys nets. It’s a simple equation: 1 net = $11 = 4 kids saved from malaria!
How can you help:
If we all pull together, we can stop a child dying from malaria every 30 seconds! Lets get 140,000 kids UNDER COVER.
We’ve 1548 safe so far, how many will you put UNDER COVER? Leave us a comment.
